I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this experience really deserves one. The check-in time at this hotel is already quite late 4:00p.m, which I thought was odd but fine. I arrived a little early at 3:00 p.m., and was told the room wasn’t ready yet, which I completely understood. I left my luggage and came back after 4:00, expecting everything to be sorted.
When I returned at 4:10, I was told again that the room still wasn’t ready. The receptionist said she’d check with housekeeping and update me, but instead just put me to the side and never came back with any information. I waited around, feeling ignored and frustrated.
By the time I came back again at 5:00 p.m., I had to wait another 15 minutes before they finally gave me a different room because the original one was still not ready. Honestly, it completely soured the start of my 訂房網站. After a long journey, the last thing you want is to be standing around the lobby for hours past check-in time.
For a hotel with such a late check-in policy, I really don’t understand how rooms can still be unprepared at 4 p.m. It left a very bad first impression and set the tone for the rest of my stay, not the relaxing start to my holiday I was hoping for. To make things worse, when I went to collect my luggage from the concierge desk, it took them around 20 minutes to bring it out. The staff seemed very unorganized and were taking ages to come back with people’s bags. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience from the very beginning.
I was welcomed so warmly by a young chap on reception, he was outstanding and we had a great chat as we were originally from the same hometown. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times mainly for the location. However, the hotel seems in a constant state of renovation (6 years now). The breakfast was expensive, but excellent. My only concern was that I paid a 70 Euro deposit in cash on arrival and was told it would be returned when checking out. When checking out 2 staff members took my details and returned me 19 Euro’s. When I challenged this it did eventually get resolved and I got my returned deposit, however the lady made a remark about how they wanted to keep my money and I replied you said that not me. My advice is that this may happen to many less savvy guests staying at the hotel, just check your refund carefully as this may happen frequently. Overall the hotel needs to complete the construction and bring back the hotel to its former glory of years gone past.
